Biography

John P. Bartkowski is Professor of Sociology at Mississippi State University. He is also a Research Fellow at Mississippi State’s Social Science Research Center and at the Center for the Scientific Study of Religion at the University of Texas-Austin. One stream of his research examines the influence of religious involvement on family relationships and gender identities, while another explores the role of religious institutions in American civil society.
